In December, 1950, in the home of Paul and Rose Pamer, our church began with 11 people present. Rev. Paul and Velma Price, began our church and pastored for 15 years. The congregation purchased land on Jefferson Ave in Barberton and the church grew. When Prices moved to Frankfort, Indiana, in 1965, Rev. Nelson and Grace Pamer took the helm.

Within a few years, the present property on St. Rt. 619 was purchased and a beautiful new church was built in 1971. There was steady growth throughout the years. The church worked hard and sacrificed much to see that growth.

In 1973, Rev. Rod Pamer was added to the church staff. He and his wife, Nan worked in various areas of the church and in 1995, became pastor, and Rev. Nelson Pamer was promoted to Bishop.

Since 2001, the church has enjoyed more growth as they moved into another new sanctuary, built on this property. The church is committed to being an outreach center as well as meeting the needs of the saints who make this church their home. The Word of God is taught throughout each week by the preached Word and there are group activities that reinforce this teaching in a variety of ways. Also, we have many groups that encourage fellowship among our members.

In 2003, another generation of Pamers was added, Rev. Paul and Brooke Pamer, and we are anticipating greater growth and blessings than ever before.
