Kid CityThe most exciting place in the world on Sunday morning!

Kid City (1st through 6th grades) is the place where children learn the Bible via a Giant Dog, Rover; fun and funny puppet shows; games, video clips of Bible stories and an outstanding staff of teachers! Each Sunday at 9:30 a.m., kids begin arriving. As soon as they check in, they are met with fun, games, animated greeters and lots of excitement!

At 9:45, the kids are divided into three groups in their own designated wing and rotate approximately every 20 minutes to each of the three areas in Kid City:

* Variety Room — Bible lesson is presented with skits, puppets and a variety of learning tools.

* Synergy Teams — Lesson-meets-fun learning: The activities, stories, skits reinforce the lesson.

* Kidz Review — Games and activities encourage memorization of the lessons.

Kids move into Kid City down Main Street, viewing all kinds of shops and businesses. They visit the KC Airport, Stick’s Sport Store, the Candy Shop and the KC Fire Station.

The curriculum is filled with puppet videos, video newscast from Jerusalem, Rover the giant dog, puppet shows, skits and a lot more! The creative staff of Kid City is constantly upgrading and planning new and innovative ways to teach the wonderful Word of God.

Throughout the year, special effort is given to ingrain Bible doctrine into the hearts and minds of our children. The teachings of Jesus Christ, the preaching of the Apostles in Acts and the doctrine of the Epistles are regularly taught to the children of Kid City.

The Apostolic Church of Barberton strongly believes that every child has been given talents and abilities from God that will bless the body of Christ. It is our job at Kid City to develop those gifts and help each child to find their place in God’s kingdom.

At 10:45 Kid City moves to KIDZ PRAISE! Approximately 100 children gather in the Bishop’s Chapel for praise and worship that is geared just for them. They are met with crazy dressed teens who lead them to give their whole heart in worship to God. At the close of this half-hour, the kids are encouraged to come to the the altar for prayer and commitment. Many have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost while at the altar of Kidz Praise.
